Bath Time

I like my dog too much.
I take way to many pictures of him.
But he is so CUTE I can't help myself! Especially at bath time when he gives me those "mom-please-don't-do-this-to-me" eyes.

 Yep, those are the ones.

 "Almost done?"

Selfie with your dog... Always a must.

Visit to NYC

This past weekend I paid a visit to my best friend! Carmela lives in New York City, and it is always a blast visiting her! After a 5 hour bus ride from Union Station in DC to Penn Station in NYC, she picked me up and we had a yummy lunch at Grey Dog Coffee on Carmine Street.

My beautiful best friend! (she is going to love me for this picture)

After lunch, we met up with one of her friends who took us out on a private tour of Manhattan... from the river!

We said "hey" to Lady Liberty.

North of Manhattan on the Hudson.

Who would have thought that these gorgeous cliffs were so close to the city!

Sunset on the city... so beautiful!

The next day we slept in (so nice) and did some shopping of of 34th St! Our favorite stop, the 3 story Victoria's Secret!
Although I was only there for a short amount of time, we had so much fun and are closer than we have ever been before! I am so thankful for her friendship! Love you girl!

Refinished TV Cabinet

After 3 months of a half-refinished TV cabinet, I finally finished it!

Here was my inspiration

I love the contrast of the white and the dark wood. I just HAD to have it in my house! So I took the old TV cabinet that I got from my mother-in-law and turned it into something new.

Wells sanded the whole thing down for me (what a sweetie!) and I got to do the fun part... Paint! I used Valspar's Homestead Resort Jefferson White. It was exactly the off-white that I was looking for!

For the top of the Cabinet, I used Minwax Wood Finish in Dark Walnut. What a beautiful color! I am obsessed with it! I finished off the whole cabinet in Rustoleum's semi-gloss polyurethane.

And how cute are these knobs that I found at World Market?

I LOVE how the cabinet turned out. My next project is my coffee table!
